NOVALinked™ System Combined with The Trolley™ E-Class Allows Complete Control of Classroom Computers

EFFINGHAM, IL, April 23, 2010 – NOVA Solutions has introduced NOVALinked™ a networking system that provides complete control of NOVA’s Trolley™ E-Class units in a classroom or training room setting.

When in “networked” mode, NOVALinked™ allows the instructor or presenter to raise or lower every Trolley™ unit in the classroom, simultaneously. When in “local” mode, NOVALinked™ relinquishes control of The Trolley™ units to each workstation, allowing individual students the ability to raise or lower their own computer screens.

The Trolley™ E-Class is an automated monitor lift system that raises a user’s computer screen from beneath a work surface. When computer work is complete The Trolley™ lowers the display beneath the work surface into its fully enclosed housing.

NOVALinked™ is compatible with Crestron, Extron, AMX, and other major brand controllers. The system requires the installation of one Control System Interface Module (CSIM, $350.00 list) located at the instructor’s lectern or desk, and one Linking Control Interface (LCI, $200.00 list) located at each individual student’s workstation. The modules are connected via standard CAT5 patch cables with RJ45 jacks. One CSIM unit, in tandem with individual LCI’s at each workstation, can control up to thirty Trolley™ E-Class units.

Instructors/presenters now have complete control over technology use within the learning environment. Teachers can control all computer use by raising and lowering computer displays with the touch of a button. This is an ideal solution for multi-use classrooms where both computer and non-computer classes are conducted. When it’s time for computer class, the teacher can raise all of the computer screens, via The Trolley™ E-Class. When computer time is over, the instructor can simply lower all the computer screens to their resting position, beneath the work surface. Additionally, testing centers can use the NOVALinked™ system to maintain strict controls during examination sessions.

Check out the NOVALinked™ system as well as NOVA’s other products at NeoCon, booth 8-8086 or InfoComm, booth C5680.

NOVA Solutions’ Adjustable Height Lectern Provides Flexibility

EFFINGHAM, IL, April 26, 2010 – NOVA Solutions has introduced a line of “Sit-Stand Lecterns” as part of its recent Audio/Visual Lectern Series.

The Sit-Stand unit’s overall work surface height can be adjusted from 30 inches (76.2cm) in the seated position to 41.8 inches (106.2cm) in the standing position with the push of a single, electrically powered rocker switch, which is easily accessible just under the edge of the work surface.

This adjustable height unit features a six outlet power strip (installed) and NOVA’s exclusive iMod™ wire management compartment. The iMod™ provides a hiding place for all computer network cables, electrical cords, and other small interfaces such as those used for the NOVALinked™ system or cloud computing applications. All cabling is easily accessible by removing the lockable modesty cover, which is available in perforated metal or solid laminate.

One model features a lockable area suitable for CPU storage and includes pre-installed 13 RU rack rails. A second model adds an external CPU shelf, allowing the lockable rack rail equipped storage area to be used for other electronics equipment such as a DVD/Blu-Ray player, audio mixer, or other presentation devices. A third, 65-inch (165.1cm) wide unit, features both locking CPU storage and an electronics device storage compartment with rack rails.

Add a Visual Display Option such as one of NOVA’s patented Trolley™ monitor lift systems or an ergonomically beneficial Downview flat panel arm solution that allows users to view their computer screens via a glass viewport located in the work surface.

NOVA’s Sit-Stand Lecterns are ADA* compliant and available in depths of 26 and 30 inches (66cm and 76.2cm) and widths of 57 and 65 inches (144.8cm to 165.1cm).
