Increase Productivity With NOVA

NOVA's DeskIn today’s economic state and in an environment of scarce resources, educators have to do more with less in their teaching environments.  Students, and their parents, have higher expectations than ever before even though institutions have to run their campuses on less budget allocations each year. Staff and faculty productivity have always been monitored, but now productivity is being expanded to a broader level. One of the resources that is now being scrutinized for productivity at a heightened level is facility or space productivity. Educators are looking at classrooms or instructional space, not only for unit productivity (for example, fitting the maximum number of students in a classroom), but space is also being analyzed on the multi-usage capabilities of spaces for maximum space productivity.

The E-class trolley offers a new level of productivity to classroom/instructional space. An E-class trolley classroom (as shown in this video) offers comfortable traditional classroom space when the trolleys are in the down position, state-of-the-art technological classroom space when the trolleys are up and being utilized and a combination of either of the settings.  Not only can an instructor choose to teach a class with the trolleys up, utilizing the state-of-the-art technology, but they can also choose to retract all the trolleys and lockout the ability for the students to use the trolley systems during a lecture or a test period.

On top of the multiplicity of the classroom, the other thing that happens when E-class trolleys are installed in a classroom is that the classroom becomes a state-of-the-art computer lab for students to utilize when it is not being used to teach a class. Students are able to use the room as study space or as a computer lab. Institutions are able to spend less money on dedicated lab space and are able to make these E-class trolley classrooms as community computer lab spaces. NOVA offers many different configurations of the Trolley E-Class, as well. Are you in need of directional desks, which give students space to work, a computer to use, while also making sure that group work is a possibility? This is available and more with the E-Class. Check out the many different layouts and designs offered by NOVA, here, at NOVA’s project page, where you can view the many different projects that NOVA has worked on.

So, if an institution is concerned about productivity and is looking for a way to increase the space/classroom productivity, here are some simple ways that they can do this:

  • Make sure there is a comfortable layout that maximizes the space of the room.  E-class trolleys can be used in desks that are only 24 inches deep, which can help maximize your classroom space.

  • Installing E-class trolleys into a classroom can capitalize on the room’s productivity and give it many multi-faceted uses with the technology in the classroom.

  • Switch from a traditional lecture space, to a state-of-the-art computer classroom with a simple flip of a switch, and the classroom can now meet the needs of the students when it’s not being used for teaching.
