5.  AV Interactive

This blog covers a variety of content from sales tips to product scam warnings.  A division of AV Magazine, the writers include well-informed experts from the AV world as well as guest bloggers. AV Interactive also includes a variety of videos, social media links, and an opportunity to sign-up for various AV publications.

4.  Scion AV

Geared more toward the entertainment side of the AV world, Scion AV is a mix of reviews from various genres of music, art, artists, and film.  You won't find much in the way of professional AV equipment here, but you will get an insight into the people that use it.  After all, understanding your target audience is the key to success.  Plus, it's just a really fun site to visit.  Follow them on social media #scionav

3.  Audio/Visual Academy

For the newbie or the seasoned pro that just wants to brush up on what the "kids" are talking about these days, there's Audio/Visual Academy.  From their website, "Audiovisual Academy is a comprehensive educational program for new media and audiovisual studies. It follows a trend of regular workshops and lectures and professional training, which have continued to grow in popularity all around the world on the subject of audiovisual production and performance. It consists of various educational activities — both on line and off line."  Available in five different languages, Audio/Visual Academy is a great learning tool.  While you're there, don't miss the AV:lab, http://audiovisualacademy.com/avin/en/avlab/.

2.  Rave (Publications)

Rave (publications) is an industry favorite.  They do a great job of covering many A/V related events throughout the world.  Their "BlogSquad" will keep you informed on the latest AV News which spans new products, and selling advice (such as "Selling to Schools": http://www.ravepubs.com/selling-to-schools/) as well as news, direct from AV manufacturers.  RAVE has a generous amount of video content, infographics, and yes – even rAVe Radio!  They even have an iPhone App.  Give 'em a shout on Twitter @rAVePubs.

1.  InfoComm's All Voices

InfoComm's "All Voices" blog is THE blog for the A/V professional.  Capitalizing on their huge member database, "All Voices" provides a variety of articles that will inform and inspire the A/V pro.  From best practices to design and sustainability, they cover the gamut of "need to know" info.  The layout is clean and easily navigated.  The site includes video and links to other resources on the massive InfoComm International website.  Although a little light on the social media connections (or at least they don't jump out at you), InfoComm's "All Voices" blog should be part of your daily blog reads.  Follow them on Twitter @InfoComm.
